Media Release: EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR FILING OF PERSONAL INCOME TAX RETURNS

This extension is intended to provide taxpayers with additional time to accurately complete and submit their returns.

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) hereby informs the general public that, pursuant to the provisions of the Income Tax Act, Cap. 15.02,ย an extension has been grantedย for the filing of 2025 Income Tax Returns.

Theย revisedย deadlineย forย submissionย isย Aprilย 10,ย 2026.

Thisย extensionย isย intendedย toย provideย taxpayersย withย additionalย timeย toย accuratelyย complete andย submitย theirย returns,ย inย accordanceย withย theirย statutoryย obligations,ย andย toย facilitateย full compliance with the requirements of the Inland Revenue Department.

Employees,ย businessย owners,ย self-employedย individuals,ย partnerships,ย andย companiesย with a financial year ending December 31 are encouraged to take full advantage of this extension, after which penalties and interest will be applied in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act.

Asย theย filingย seasonย drawsย toย a close, theย IRD remainsย committedย to supporting taxpayers by providing the necessary guidance, tools, and assistance to facilitate compliance. Taxpayers are therefore encouraged to utilize the extended period to ensure timely compliance.
