The successful individual should be versatile and have the ability to multi-task in the various
housekeeping roles - Laundry, Public Area and Rooms. Prior experience in one or all of the areas will be an asset.

Our requirements:
A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field or experience working in a Hotel laundry facility
Flexibility (days, evenings and weekends and all hands-on deck situations)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Always pay keen attention to existing guest requests, making sure to maintain adequate supply until departure.
2. For arrival room make up, ensure you fulfil all guest requests as specified on the rooming list e.g., twin beds, extra pillows, scales, benches.
3. Clean, wash and wipe windows, shower walls, doors, door handles, overhead shelves, walls and fixtures to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive accommodation at all times. Check closets for cleanliness and restock room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets and pillows.
4. Replace room amenities, linen and restock missing, damaged or soiled literature to ensure rooms are restored to its original state.
5. Thoroughly sweep and mop hard flooring areas, dust and polish all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings (interior and exterior) including underneath all furniture and hard to reach areas.
6. Verify all items collected as per the laundry sheet signed by the guest, noting any discrepancies.
7. Check all items for damages or stains and take appropriate action to rectify these issues.
8. Sort and separate all guest clothing appropriately, paying close attention to those requiring special care.
9. Read instructions carefully and process items using the correct equipment, appropriate products and required temperature.
10. Report any damage or deficiencies in laundered items to your supervisor/ manager immediately.
11. Ensure all items are clean and in impeccable condition, (buttons intact, stains removed etc.) prior to packaging for return.
12. Prepare and neatly package laundered articles to be delivered to the appropriate guest rooms.
13. Wash, dry, fold and store linen, including sheets, pillow cases, bedspreads, draperies, towels, mats, shower curtains and blankets following company policies and procedures.
14. Feed washed linen cases and napkins into ironer never leaving the machine unattended.
15. Check returned room/restaurant linen for wear and tear or stains which may make them unsuitable for use. (Keep count of all rejected linen).
16. Sort employee uniforms for appropriate action
17. Operate and maintain washer, dryer and all other equipment according to the specified manufacturer’s instructions.
18. Report any technical/operational issues or deficiencies to the maintenance team immediately.
19. Ensure that all restrooms are maintained and refreshed with supplies on a continuous basis.
20. Ensure common areas including the gym are equipped and replenished with all amenities, floral displays and
information cards.
21. Maintain an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the facilities and public areas of the hotel
