VACANCY - Inventory Supervisor
Real Foods Inc., the franchise owner for KFC in St. Lucia, is looking to recruit an Inventory Supervisor who will be responsible for leading the Inventory team and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and control of inventory across all company locations. The successful candidate will oversee inventory operations, strengthen internal controls, drive continuous improvement, and ensure inventory records are accurate and timely.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervising all inventory activities, including receiving, storage, transfers, returns, stock movements, and replenishment.
Coordinating and overseeing cycle counts, perpetual inventory counts, and stock takes, while investigating and resolving inventory variances.
Ensuring inventory transactions, adjustments, write-offs, and reconciliations are processed accurately and within established timelines.
Preparing inventory reports, inventory valuation reports, KPI reports, and management analyses to support business decisions.
Monitoring inventory shrinkage, obsolete stock, and close-to-expiry products, and recommending actions to minimize losses.
Maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Conducting spot checks, operational reviews, and cash float audits, and providing recommendations for improvement.
Coordinating inventory-related activities with Warehouse, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and other departments.
Supervising, coaching, developing, and evaluating Inventory team members to achieve departmental objectives.
Leading continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen inventory controls, operational efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
Profile of the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in inventory management, stock control, or a similar supervisory role.
Valid Driver's Licence.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and business systems.
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Financially astute with a sound understanding of inventory valuation, gross profit, mark-ups, and inventory controls.
Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrates initiative, accountability, reliability, and sound judgment.
Customer-focused with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
Innovative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Able to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working conditions:
Air-conditioned office environment.
Dry and frozen warehouse environment.
Duties involve sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
