VACANCY NOTICE - Corporate Communications Officer
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Corporate Communications Officer, Water & Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO).
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general support with the development and implementation of the corporate communications strategy and plan and will assist the Corporate Communications Manager with the day to day operations of the Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with corporate communications strategic planning and implementation of corporate strategy and plan.
Promotes the company’s public image by assisting with the implementation of marketing campaigns, community relations, programmes and other customer related activities.
Assists with mass communications, internal and external to the company, social media matters and community relations
Maintains company’s website and other electronic media platforms: updating information; responding to queries and comments
Assists with the organizing of media interviews and related activities
Obtains, compiles and analyses information required for various communications initiatives
Prepares letters and inter-departmental correspondence (memos, letters, or emails) intended for staff
Develops material and organizes initiatives to educate staff on communications policy and other communications processes
Assists with the delivery of all company’s programmes and initiatives.

Ability to hold meetings, public education and other activities directly in communities island-wide, on an ongoing basis.
Ability to speak fluent English and Creole.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Media Communication, Marketing or Public Relations with at least five (5) years of relevant experience OR a Diploma in Mass Communications or Journalism and 7 years’ experience in the field of Corporate Communications.
