VACANCY– Human Resource Officer
A reputable company in the south of the island is seeking to recruit a Human Resource Officer. The individual will be required to co-ordinate and assist in the development and maintenance of a proper Industrial Relations environment and Lead the Human Resources function in accordance with the labor laws of Saint Lucia .

Specific Responsibilities:
To ensure that all Personnel and Industrial Relations matters pertaining to the organization and its employees are adequately addressed.
To administer succession planning policies and make sure that appropriate training and development programs are in place to support company objectives and strategies.
To plan and administer the performance management of all staff and provide support to line management in performance management and disciplinary issues involving employees.
To maintain proper Employment Records and personnel Files.
To interview, select and employ temporary and permanent staff in co - ordination with Departmental Managers.
To assist in the determination of training needs and to maintain an Annual Training Register for all employees.
To plan and co-ordinate training programs and outsource training to meet the training needs of the Organization.
To supervise and co-ordinate Grievance Processing in conjunction with Supervisors and Managers.
To co-ordinate Health Care provisions and Pension Plan with Insurers.
To provide Monthly Reports to Management concerning Industrial and Public Relations activities of the Organization.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Knowledge of local employment law
5 + years’ experience in a Human Resources related position
Proficiency user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of standard office procedures and filing systems.
Well-developed computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite.
Good time management skills and a track record of meeting critical deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good Analytical Skills.
