Invest Saint Lucia (ISL) is seeking a Clerk of Works to provide support to the Land Rationalisation Team at the Vieux Fort Office during infrastructure construction works. The Clerk of Works will report to the Project Manager.
Ensure that construction works are executed in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Measure all completed works and inform immediately of any changes/activities contrary to the contract document.
Submit a daily log (inclusive of photographs) of all construction works/activities on the site from inception to completion.
Report all issues/challenges on the project site.
Attend and participate in various meetings as directed.
Ensure that contractors are adhering to all safely and Covid-19 protocols.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in Construction Management or related field with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar post, OR Diploma in a related field with 5 years’ experience.
Competency & knowledge of Construction/Building Technology
Experience in project management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to take initiative and work well under limited supervision.
Ability to plan, organize work and prepare clear concise reports.
Proven ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Exhibit sound judgement and decision-making ability
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
