The Accountant will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing business procedures and activities to ensure that internal controls, guidelines, processes, procedures, and mechanisms are in compliance with corporate policies, industry or ethical standards and regulatory requirements. Duties include but are not limited to:

Proactively identifying issues/problems focusing on process improvement and taking steps to resolve these.

Accurately processing and posting Sales Journals and Deposit Journals, and Bank reconciliation transaction journals.

Maintaining deposit log and verifying end of day deposits at the bank against receipts and paid invoices.

Audit General Ledger accounts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA/ACCA or CGA would be an asset

At least three (3) years’ financial experience.

Knowledge of word processing software, and at least intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Working knowledge of accounting software
