We are looking for an outstanding Asphalt Road Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of Nationwide Mobile Concrete Suppliers .The successful candidate will be dispatched within a specified location on Island to oversee a road construction project. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Ability to read plans (grade, slope, drainage, etc)

Proven track record of completing jobs on-time and budget

Strong communication skills with customers and employees

Provide reports on status of project as requested

Job Duties

Leading crews in a manner that ensures they are acting in alignment with company policies and vision.

Supervise work activities of construction crewmembers in their day-to-day activities

Ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of work performed.

Ensuring Nationwide meet or exceed customer expectations.

Monitoring/managing operational costs.

Overseeing health and safety for all personal usage of all equipment

Ensure compliance with the Company’s Safety Policies and Procedures

Ensure crews have tools, materials, and instruction to complete tasks

Preplan schedule, work force, and equipment needs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with the Project Management Team

Coordinate material and labor needs with Project Superintendent

Understand and meet production rates to meet schedule and budget requirements

Understand and utilize the Contract Drawings and Specifications

Ensuring team meets daily and weekly performance goals

Qualifications

At least 3 to 4 years of experience in the asphalt, paving, and concrete industries.

Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Technical vocational certificate

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.

Creative problem solving, decisiveness, and leadership skills expected.

Must demonstrate the ability to rally a team and motivate them to accomplish difficult tasks.

Experience in the asphalt, paving, and concrete industries.

Proven track record working safely

Knowledge of paving planning and scheduling

Ability to calculate quantities for materials and supplies

Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans and specifications
