The Kitchen/Laundry Technician, is a vital member of the Maintenance Team at Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain Resorts. This role primarily focuses on ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel’s kitchen and laundry equipment. The Technician will be responsible for promptly addressing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the hotel’s operations.
TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To carry out repairs and maintenance of all hotel Kitchen and laundry equipment.
To carry out preventive maintenance checks on the hotel Kitchen and laundry equipment.
To follow the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in the plan.
To be able to carry out all tasks / assignments in a timely manner (meeting deadlines) carefully.
To order, track, record and maintain inventory parts of all hotel Kitchen and laundry equipment.
To follow up with stewarding department regarding to the kitchen equipment cleaning schedule.
To follow up with laundry staff regarding to the laundry equipment cleaning schedule.
To look after all the tools supplied by the hotel and correctly deposit them after finishing the shift.
To interact with the kitchens chefs in daily bases to understand the kitchens issues and requirements.
To interact with the laundry in charge in daily bases to understand the laundry issues and requirements.
To interact with all guest and colleagues in a professional manner at all times.
To clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly.
To have a basic knowledge of all other Engineering functions: plumbing, electrical and A/C etc.
To report the status of assignments and potential dangers as soon as possible.
SECURITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy.
Reports any suspicious behavior of guests and staff to the Chief Engineer, Maintenance Engineer and Security Manager
Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately immediately.
Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, bomb procedures.
Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and notifies the supervisor.
Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including but not limited to lifting, climbing, etc.
Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to Chief Engineer Immediately.

Ability to work well in a high pressure environment;
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company;
Ability to adapt and respond to changing work situations and environments;
Excellent organizational and planning skills;
Excellent time management skills;
Attention to detail;
Proven work experience as a technician at a hotel property;
Compensation will be influenced by the successful candidate’s qualification, experience and skill.
