The St. James’s Club Morgan Bay St. Lucia is seeking to recruit experienced talent to join our happy team of employees. We are currently taking applications for the position of Front Desk Supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY
Directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties. Directs and coordinates the activities of the reservations, guest services, and bell hop areas.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Resolves guest complains quickly, efficiently and courteously.
Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
Enforces all cash handling and credit policies.
Determine and maintain the department work schedules and payroll.
Liaise with Accounts to resolve discrepancies, Housekeeping and Maintenance regarding complaints on out-of-order rooms and other discrepancies.
Work closely with the housekeeping department to improve guest services and foster cross departmental communication.
Monitor and ensure achievement of all room occupancy and average daily rate objectives.
Liaise with the Reservations department to review resort’s forecasts and work schedules.
Supervise guest registration and check out procedures, group check ins, pre-registrations and balance room types.
Responsible for foreign exchange transactions and safe deposit procedures.
DESIRED SKILLS
Possession of good communication skills excellent written and verbal communication.
Must be computer literate and proficient in using excel, word processing, spreadsheets, data bases and outlook.
The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multi task.
Prior knowledge of the Opera System would be an asset.
Proven excellence in customer service.
Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, and associates, employees both inside and outside the organization.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must have at least five (5) years experience in a similar position.
Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays.
