JOB TITLE: Due Diligence Officer
TERM: Two Year Contractual Appointment
SALARY: The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
POSITION OVERVIEW
Working under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), the Due Diligence Officer will be responsible for coordinating the due diligence on all applicants to the Citizenship by Investment Programme by working closely with law enforcement and due diligence service providers.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform due diligence analysis and assess applicant risk;
Refer applications to licensed due diligence service providers and law enforcement to perform due diligence checks ;
Review reports from due diligence service providers and law enforcement officers as part of the process to recommend the approval or denial of citizenship to applicants;
Communicate effectively with due diligence service providers and law enforcement on conclusions and provide additional information as needed;
Communicate with authorised agents and request additional information as needed;
Ensure the completeness of reviews and supporting documentation before submitting a Board Report to the CEO;
Provide timely updates and notifications of delays in submitting reports to the CEO;
Analyze due diligence reports in order to make a recommendation to the CEO;
Prepare Board Reports for the review of the CEO and ensure that every report highlights all the areas of concern for the consideration of the CEO and the Citizenship by Investment Board;
Ability to score applicants for risk;
Ensure data and documents are entered into systems as expected;
Identify potential areas of risks and lead initiatives relating to the enhancement of due diligence procedures, policies and internal controls;
Required to attend staff meetings and
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Law , Criminal Justice , Research or a related field.
At least 2 years working experience in a similar position with a proven ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment will be a considered advantage.

Ethical and principled: The ability to make and stand by difficult decisions and be ultimately influenced by what is right in the circumstances.
Diligent: Willing to see all processes through to the end. Ability to make decisions that considers all relevant facts and information, potential risks and benefits, short- and long- term consequences or alternatives even when the information received is complex .
Excellent time management and organizational skills;
Excellent communication skills;
Detail oriented and very good at critical analysis;
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality ; and
Ability to work well with a small team.
