Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
To ensure the accurate and timely distribution of Financial information in an effort to enhance guest satisfaction, repeat business and timely payroll processing. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for providing and managing all reports of the Accounting Department in an effort to provide upper management with accurate information which will be used in making current and future Financial decisions.
Expectations:
Suitable candidate is expected to meet deadlines of all accounting reports and report all discrepancies and concerns to the Financial Controller. Applicant is also expected to Manage the accounting team and ensure that all duties are carried out effectively. Applicant is expected to utilize time management skills and prioritize job functions and duties in order to effectively meet set deadlines.
Applicants must possess the following:
A degree in Accounting and Finance.
Five CXC Subjects with passes at Grade 2 level for Mathematics and English.
Two years’ experience in Hotel Accounting or related field.
Computer literate: Ability to operate basic Applications such as Microsoft word and Excel.
Ability to operate office equipment such as printers, copiers, telephones, calculators etc.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and communicate effectively with management and line staff.
Effective problem solving and stress management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information, data and arithmetic functions.
Excellent listening skills and ability to understand, clarify and resolve concerns and issues raised by team, other associates and guests.
Applicant must be able to effectively and firmly manage a team of at least five (5) persons.
Willingness to work unsociable hours and alternate days due to the nature of the Hotel Industry and in an effort to meet deadlines.
