Media Release: West Coast Jazz

MUSIC LOVERS CONVERGED AT THE SCENIC QUANTUM GARDENS IN MASSACRE, ANSE LA RAYE, FOR A TASTE OF LATIN JAZZ.

Riding on the success of the inaugural event in 2017, organizers of West Coast Jazz regrouped in 2018 to present patrons with another high quality event.

West Coast Jazz is one of the community events supported by the Events Company of Saint Lucia organizers of the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival.

Parliamentary representative for Anse La Raye and Canaries and Minister for Tourism Hon. Dominic Fedee said he was happy that the event was once again very successful.

“It really is an indication of the commitment of our government to the decentralization of the festival and also to the development of the west coast. Jazz is just part of it. We have had the ARC, the food and rum festival, and now we are having jazz for the second time. It really is a moment of pride and a moment of inspiration for all of us.”

Minister Fedee stated that he was overjoyed by the fact that not only was the activity organized primarily by those from the community, but ALSO that some of the talent on stage came from the community as well.
