Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort - Spa Director
A VACANCY EXISTS AT THE WINDJAMMER LANDING VILLA BEACH RESORT FOR THE POSITION OF SPA DIRECTOR.
The Spa Director will be required to have undergone institutionalized training and must be academically and technically qualified.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the financial and operational aspects of a new spa, including its programmes, services and the human resource.
Requirements (among others):
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in a senior management role within the Spa/Hospitality sector
- Knowledge of salon, skin care, fitness and wellness programmes
- Budget planning and management ability
- Business and financial acumen
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills
- Strategy, Sales & Marketing Experience
- Hands On Approach
Other Job Responsibilities(among others):
- Project and maintain acceptable payroll commitments
- Use financial plans for spotting trends, measuring productivity and monitoring progress.
- Develop procedures for accurate inventory control and monitoring
- Develop Spa’s Marketing and Sales strategy to ensure an impactful, effective and consistent image is being portrayed
- Guide business decisions by staying on top of Spa industry trends
- Ensure superior guest service experience. Monitor customer satisfaction with survey and customer cards
- Develop and deliver credible, competitive , value-plus service to the customer
- Develop and maintain guidelines for customer complaint handling
- Implement ongoing skills training to ensure service standards are being maintained and for the development of the human resource
- Lead, Inspire, Empower and Motivate the Spa Team
- Develop and monitor Job Descriptions and Staff Goals Planning.
- Perform Staff Evaluation Reports with staff action plans
- Produce and maintain a Spa Procedure Manual and ensure compliance
- Develop and maintain Spa literature, documentation and process handling requirements
- Minimize or eliminate operational losses with monitoring programmes
- Manage inventory effectively; follow established purchasing standards; ensure compliance
- Hands-On, Guest-Facing Approach to Leadership and Operations
