Water & Sewerage Company Inc (WASCO) - CAD Technician
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of CAD Technician, Water & Sewerage Company Inc (WASCO).
The successful applicant will be accountable to the Design & Construction Manager and form part of a team working towards achieving the following objectives:
- Ensure compliance of quality standards in CAD Drawings;
- Redesign drawings according to mark ups, specifications and building codes
- Translate and convert hand drawings and sketches into CAD systems.
- Ability to read, evaluate and interpret designs and drawings.
- Assist in creating and implementing work methodologies and strategies;
- Ability to document and update all drawings;
- Ability to design, document and architect building drawings;
- Support compliance procedures of drafting and engineering standards.
- Prepare and submit reports as and when required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of CAD computer applications
- Certificate in Project Management would be considered an asset.
- Excellent map reading, network designing and management skills
- Knowledge of and experience with interpretation of drawings
- Good computer literacy and well versed in Auto CAD Suite.
- Working knowledge in Bentley Micro Station would be an asset
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Drafting or Architecture along with 5 years relevant work experience.
