DEPARTMENT: Human Resources Department REPORTS TO: Manager, Human Resources NUMBER OF REPORTING POSITIONS: N/A
LOCATION: St. Lucia
The HR Associate is primarily responsible for the administrative aspects of the HR department and assists in its day-to-day operations inclusive of key strategic initiatives.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors and maintains staff attendance records on HRIS system.
Ensures timely updates of Workforce system.
Provides just in time support to team members on the use of company Human Resource Information systems.
Reports anomalies to company’s attendance and absenteeism policy.
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual Time and Attendance reports, including but not limited to:
- Headcount Reports
- Absenteeism Reports
- Vacation Valuations
- Turnover Report
Assists with rewards and recognition administration
Supports implementation of HR programs and activities
Assists with updates, testing and maintenance associated with HRIS and Workforce system
Support team by troubleshooting issues that may arise with Time and Attendance system.
Assist managers and supervisors with workforce report completion updates and answers queries from other stakeholders
Assist where needed with the editing of HRIS system errors
Ensures timely submission of Payroll reports and timely updates of internal database to include sick leave and maternity leave.
Assist with Payroll web reset requests.
Organizing and maintaining personnel records
Assist with completion of background checks
Assist in the orientation and onboarding process where needed.
Provide support to all stakeholders in the absence of other HR personnel
Assist with general HR related queries.
Partner with HR Manager in the completion of assigned special projects.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
A Bachelor’s degree (BSc.) in Management, Human Resources or a business-related discipline.
At least 2 years’ experience in within an HR related role.
Previous administrative experience is essential
Working Knowledge of local HR legislature is an asset.
A high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software
Good verbal, written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills
Good administrative and organizational skills.
High energy and enthusiasm
Previous experience in a financial services environment would be an asset.
As a member of the HR Team, the successful candidate must be able to deal with issues in complete confidentiality, be self-motivated and willing to use their initiative. They must also establish a good relationship with managers, members of staff and customers.
