As part of activities in observance of Business Month 2017, the Department of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs, in collaboration with the Public Service Toast Masters Club will be hosting a public speaking workshop titled “Art of the Elevator Pitch.”
The workshop will equip entrepreneurs with the tools to capture the interest of a potential investor or partner, in as little time as it takes for an average elevator ride.
In this fast-paced world, entrepreneurs must be able to communicate their business ideas or give an overview of their business in as few words as possible. The workshop also seeks to build entrepreneurs’ confidence in public speaking and enhance their marketing skills.
The public speaking workshop will be held at the Public Service Training Institute in Union on Monday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Business Month is being held under the theme, “Promoting an Entrepreneurial Culture - Innovation and Creativity.
