Media Release: Julien Alfred Set to Compete at the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26, Poland

Olympic champion Julien Alfred, who will compete in the Women’s 60 metres, one of the most anticipated sprint events of the championship.

 The St. Lucia Athletics Association is pleased to announce that St. Lucia will be represented at the World Athletics Indoor Championship, scheduled to take place from 20th – 22nd March 2026 in Poland.

Olympic champion Julien Alfred, who will compete in the Women’s 60 metres, one of the most anticipated sprint events of the championship. Alfred continues to be a source of immense national pride, having elevated Saint Lucia’s presence on the international athletics stage through her remarkable achievements and consistent world-class performances.

Providing support to the athlete is a dedicated team of officials committed to ensuring optimal preparation and representation for the country. The delegation includes:

· Makeba Alcide – Team Manager

· Edrick Floreal – Coach

· Kenneth Orrin – Physiotherapist

The St. Lucia Athletics Association remains confident in the St. Lucia’s preparation and looks forward to seeing Saint Lucia represented with distinction among the world’s elite athletes.
