The Order of Saint Lucia Committee officially announces the opening of the nomination period for the Order of Saint Lucia National Awards and invites members of the public to nominate deserving individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development and advancement of Saint Lucia.

The National Awards provide an opportunity to formally recognise Saint Lucians whose exceptional service, dedication, leadership and achievements have made a meaningful and lasting impact on our nation and its people.

As Saint Lucia prepares to commemorate its 48th Anniversary of Independence on February 22, 2027, the Committee encourages citizens at home and throughout the diaspora to identify and nominate individuals whose contributions are worthy of national recognition.

WHO CAN BE NOMINATED?

Nominations are invited for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, leadership, innovation or achievement in various fields, including public service, education, culture, sports, business, community development, humanitarian work and other areas of national significance.

The Committee particularly encourages the public to recognise the contributions of unsung heroes whose selfless service and dedication have positively impacted their communities and the wider Saint Lucian society.

HOW TO SUBMIT A NOMINATION?

Nomination forms are available online through the official website of the Office of the Governor General:

The nomination form can be accessed at the bottom of the webpage.

Physical copies of the nomination form may also be obtained from local Post Offices, Constituency Offices, public libraries, Saint Lucian Embassies and the Office of the Prime Minister.

Completed nomination forms must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to:

IMPORTANT NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS

The Order of Saint Lucia Committee reminds members of the public that all nomination forms MUST be completed in their entirety and accompanied by a comprehensive justification outlining the nominee’s achievements, contributions and impact.

The submission of a curriculum vitae (CV) alone is insufficient. Nominators are required to provide clear and compelling information demonstrating why the individual being nominated is deserving of national recognition.

NOMINATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2026

All completed nomination forms and supporting documentation must be submitted by the stipulated deadline.

The Order of Saint Lucia Committee encourages all Saint Lucians to participate in this important national exercise by recognising the individuals whose extraordinary contributions continue to enrich our communities, strengthen our national identity and advance the development of our country.
