Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Human Resources Coordinator, Unique Vacations Limited.
The Human Resource Coordinator will assist and support the all-round human resource function of daily operations including but not limited to recruitment and selection, benefits administration, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management. In addition, he/she will provide support to the HR Manager with managing the department as well as maintain accurate and up to date employee records in the Human Resource Information System (Orange HRM).
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful applicant will be required to;
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with the coordination of recruitment and selection activities from vacancy advertisements, screening of applicants and provision of administrative support for interviews. Conducts new employee orientation; monitors the employee on-boarding experience.
Manage the update of all employee information in the Human Resource Information System and compiles reports from database as required.
Coordinate the annual performance appraisal process.
Maintain accurate records and statistical reports concerning staff in relation to appointments, performance appraisals, absenteeism, and punctuality rates.
Creates new files and maintains existing files in an efficient and effective manner.
Ensures that employees’ files are updated in a timely manner.
Administers (compensation) benefit program, including claims resolution, benefit enrolment and communicating benefit information to employees.
Acts as a liaison between employee and insurance providers to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
To effectively support the HRM in the delivery of the HR policies, procedures, and processes.
Manage the creation and distribution of employee communication including HR updates, newsletters, bulletins, intranet, and announcements.
Compile day/evening pass and submit requests to the respective resorts’ General Manager.
Coordinate discount room requests and submit to Director of HR for approval.
Manage the annual Rendezvous programme and submit report to HRM.
Assist in ensuring that proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
Plan and coordinate employee quarterly awards and engagement activities.
Spearhead the Company’s Health & Wellness programme.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Human Resource Management, or related field from a recognized University. A minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience, OR five (5) years of experience in the HR field OR Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
Desirable Specialized Technique/Knowledge:
Knowledge of the Saint Lucia Labor Act.
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration
Training and working knowledge in IT applications for HR administration
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Tact and diplomacy
Ability to use initiative
Sound judgment and decision-making ability
Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to adapt to dynamic environment of change

Ability to maintain accurate records
