AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Prepares and delivers all payrolls accurately and on time, manages the Payroll System HR Plus and the benefits portfolio. Advises on maintaining rewards and benefits policies to support employee engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing and delivering all payrolls accurately and time.
Process and ensures statutory payments (NIC & PAYE) are reported and paid on time.
Manages employee payroll data from the integrated HRIS to payroll systems.
Process payroll changes re overtime, allowances, bank deductions etc. and other employee assignments.
Ensures consistency and alignment with Job Grading system and benefits.
Manages the benefits portfolio to include Medical, Life, Pension etc. including reconciliation of monthly invoicing.
Process medical sick leave to the NIC, medical claims with Insurer and follows up on all outstanding claims.
Calculates and processes annual increases, merit increases, bonus payments etc.
Timely running and distribution of Annual TD4 & TD5 Forms.
In collaboration with Supervisors validates payroll data with time keeping system.
Prepares period department reports and ensures required reports are submitted to finance to deadline.
Leads participation in annual compensation surveys for competitive insight and maintains oversight on tax rules impacting compensation.
Provide expert support in rewards and benefits including full understanding of the Collective Agreement, contractual agreements and the Labour Act of Saint Lucia.
Petty Cash administration.
Able to participate in the development of reward systems for critical insights.
Deliver a high level of service in responding to and resolving team member queries and concerns.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with minimum four (4) years relevant experience.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
Knowledge of accounting procedures and policies and general knowledge surrounding the HR discipline.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Ability to cope with competing demands and prioritize tasks.
