In just three weeks, the world-renowned Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival will once again ignite the island with music, culture, and unforgettable experiences. The festival officially begins on 30 April, with the Opening Night coinciding with World Jazz Day, promising a vibrant and electrifying start to this highly anticipated celebration.
This year’s festival will feature a stellar line-up of international and local talent, delivering an exciting fusion of jazz, world music, and the arts across multiple venues. Acts include Amber Digby, Asa Bantan, Beverley Knight, Billy Ocean, Capleton, D’Yani, Dexter Daps, Ella Mai, Esmeralda Spalding, Imran Nerdy, Les Aigllons de Guadeloupe, Lu City, Princess Lover, Shirleyann Cyril-Mayers, Skip Marley, TC Brown, TEMS, The Brandford Marsalis Quartet, Tye Tribbett, Valiant, and X-Man, with the festival set to close in spectacular fashion with Brandy and Monica.
Adding to the excitement, Community Jazz events will extend the celebrations across the island from 19 April to 7 May, blending a diverse range of artists and artisans and creating an almost month-long festival experience.
Art and the City will continue to showcase a vibrant celebration of local talent, where every piece tells a story and every showcase reflects the spirit of Saint Lucia. This year’s programme will also feature a special theatrical production by renowned Saint Lucian playwright and director, Travis Weekes, further strengthening the festival’s commitment to showcasing Saint Lucia’s thriving creative and performing arts community.
The Icon Series will pay tribute to the late Saint Lucian culinary pioneer, Edward “Chef Harry” Joseph, an iconic ambassador who elevated Caribbean flavours on the global stage with creativity, passion, and unmistakable island flair. Celebrated Saint Lucian chef Shorne Benjamin will serve as this year’s culinary icon, honouring Chef Harry’s legacy by presenting some of his unique and celebrated menus.
