VACANCY: ELECTRICAL & HARDWARE SALES SPECIALIST

We are seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Electrical & Hardware Sales Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our retail shop, which specializes primarily in electrical supplies, with a range of hardware, tools, and related products.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in electrical and hardware products, and takes pride in providing knowledgeable and professional service.

The Role

The successful candidate will be expected to:

- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate electrical, hardware, and tool products for their needs.
- Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service.
- Process sales, quotations, invoices, and other related documentation.
- Receive, organize, and maintain inventory while ensuring the shop remains properly stocked and presented.
- Operate computer-based sales, inventory, and administrative systems.
- Maintain accurate records and handle transactions responsibly.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, secure, and professionally presented.
- Work independently and exercise good judgment in the day-to-day running of the shop.
- Carry out other duties necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the business.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

- Computer literate and comfortable learning and using business software.
- Experienced in electrical supplies, hardware, tools, building supplies, or a similar retail environment.
- Confident communicating with customers and able to provide practical product guidance.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable taking responsibility for the shop’s daily operations.
- Trustworthy, dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Able to learn quickly and develop a strong understanding of the products being sold.
- Comfortable handling cash, sales transactions, inventory, and customer accounts where required.

The Ideal Candidate

This position is best suited to someone who does not need to be constantly supervised to get the job done. We are looking for an individual who can take ownership of the role, think independently, solve problems, and maintain high standards even when working alone.

Product knowledge and previous experience in an electrical or hardware retail environment will be considered a strong advantage.
