STOREROOM ATTENDANT
CORE FUNCTIONS
The Storeroom Attendant is vital in the operation of the storeroom; he/she is responsible for maintaining inventory controls as set by the storekeeper. It is imperative to note that the responsibility for this high value of inventory is just as much for the storeroom attendant as it is for the Storekeeper. .
A. Specific Knowledge & Skills Required
- Basic Knowledge of inventory systems;
- Must possess strong organizational skills;
- Numeracy skills – must possess the ability to compute mathematical calculations;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written;
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents;
- English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language;
- Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks;
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing effective customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
B. Qualifications and Experience
- Secondary/High School diploma
- Minimum of 3 CSEC/CXC, O’Level passes including English and Mathematics
