The Department of Tourism, Information and Broadcasting will host the official launch of the Tourism Advisory Committee, today.
The committee is a multi-stakeholder advisory grouping comprising both public and private representatives with an interest in bolstering tourism development and management. The council will facilitate partnerships among the public and private sectors, and seek to resolve longstanding bottlenecks which impede product development and enhancement, while generating consensus on the way forward for the development and management of the tourism sector in Saint Lucia.
The strategic direction for the committee under the Department of Tourism will be outlined by Prime Minister Hon. Allen Chastanet, and Hon. Dominic Fedee, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Tourism, Information and Broadcasting.
The launch of the Tourism Advisory Committee will be held on May 25, at the St. James Morgan Bay Resort at 10 a.m.
