ADMAC LTD- Stock Controller
Job Brief:
Monitors and maintains current inventory levels, tracks orders and investigates problems. Performs physical stock counts of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer generated reports.
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams.
Ultimately, you will increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times.
Stock Controller Main Responsibilities include:
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
  • Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
  • Ensure in-stock level complies with inventory parameters and sales patterns.
  • Develop inventory control modules that promote lower cost of sales, shorter lead times and reduced stock levels.
  • Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases.
  • Increase the stock turn of products to maximize return on investment
  • Track shipments and address any delays in conjunction with buying team
  • Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items
  • Perform Administrative duties relating to clearing of containers/shipments working closely with Brokers.
  • Evaluate suppliers’ offers and assist in the negotiation of profitable deals
  • Perform regular inventory audits
  • Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
  • Ensure purchased inventory is within specified budget notifying head of supply when budget is exceeded, reason and remedies.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven work experience as a Stock Controller/Inventory Manageror similar role
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software
  • Active participation in inventory audits
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Good communication and negotiation abilities
  • Strong background in data entry and analysis of data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight schedules
  • Confident with Microsoft package and ability to use macros and pivot tables
  • Confident with Quick books will be an asset
  • Outgoing friendly nature with professional integrity
  • BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field will be an asset.
