Assistant Training & Development Manager

Role Summary

The Assistant Training & Development Manager is responsible for assisting in evaluating, planning and developing the training &

development needs of all team members. The Assistant Training Manager evaluates the trainee for effectiveness of training and

individual employee growth. The Assistant Training Manager is responsible for the development of reporting for measurement of training

needs and results. This position conducts needs assessment and development of measurement instruments for instructional assignments.

The Assistant Training Manager engages in professional training evaluation services in support of organizational and departmental

training initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities of the position

 To be a firm fair leader and a role model for Team Members

 Comply and uphold all the guidelines of the Team Members’ Handbook

 Keep Training & Development Manager informed on all relevant issues concerning the department

 Ensuring maintenance of standards and organizational effectiveness

 Demonstrate knowledge of the Quality Advantage card and hold the vision of the company at all times

 Always act within the best interest of the image of the department and the company and their scope

 Attendance and active participation required in meetings and functions

 Use customer experience feedback, internal audits and other customer satisfaction/measurement tools in the assessment of training

needs and the development of new training programs or modification and improvement of existing ones

 Work closely with GMs, Department Specific Trainers and Heads of Departments to identify competency gaps, and make

recommendations to Training & Development Manager for training solutions

 Conduct orientation of new team members

 Assume any other duties as assigned by the Training & Development Manager or Resort Executive

Qualifications and Experience

 Computer Literate – solid knowledge of computer applications

 Bachelors in Education, Human Resource Management or similar certification. A degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management or any

other related field will also be considered.

 Minimum two (2) years’ experience the Hospitality Industry

 Experience in Adult learning theories and instructional methodologies
