Position Overview:
Our resort, as an independent luxury brand fueled by a collective of diverse and exceptionally talented team members, is seeking a high-energy, dynamic, and results-oriented team player with an undeniable passion for health and fitness to join our Spa & Wellness team and partner in creating world-renowned hospitality experiences.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating guests on fitness and safety, monitoring fitness center activity and executing all fitness activities and classes for both groups and individual guests.

Job responsibilities in this role include:
Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate warm-up, exercises, stretching, and cool down routines.
Instructs guests individually and in class settings on effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies different muscle groups, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles.
Prepares appropriate equipment, music, and handouts for each class.
Assists guests in the fitness center, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for members and/or class participants.
Observes guests as they participate in fitness activities and informs them of corrective measures to help them improve their skills.
Keeps management informed of guest and facility needs.
Ensures that safety standards are met, and that department and facility policies are adhered to.
Monitors recreational activity and fitness areas and equipment to ensure compliance with Resort rules, regulations, and hygiene standards and initiates the necessary follow-up action.
Maintain inventory and records of guest participation.

Experience and Skills:
Ability to remain active for prolonged periods of intense physical exertion including running, lifting, and stretching.
Ability to lift 75lbs or more at a time.
The ability to work independently and utilize a high degree of initiative.
Personal Trainer and/or Fitness Instructor Certification is required.
CPR / First Aid certification is desirable.
CXC certificates in Mathematics and English are preferred.
Basic level computer literacy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a hotel environment.
Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to recognize and assess an emergency and initiate appropriate action.
Able to work various shifts and on weekends and holidays.
Highly motivated professional with a passion for delivering service excellence.
