Research and Projects Officer
We are seeking to recruit a mature individual for the position of Research and
Projects Officer who will be responsible for conducting and overseeing research
activities within the organization.

The ideal candidate should be able to but not limited:
o Work effectively in a small team, in fast-paced environment, with many
competing deadlines.
o Ability to conduct research projects, utilizing standard research methods
including survey design, statistical analysis, and literature review.
o Preparation of research proposals to a range of funders including Research
Councils, charitable trusts and foundations, government departments, and
international funding bodies.
o Work with researchers locally and internationally to develop diverse
relationships.
o Produce accurate costings for grant applications.
o Create and maintain project records and financial information for proposals
and grants.
o Work closely with Finance, Communications and other internal colleagues
as required for the role.
o Coordinate external partners input into grant applications.
o Maintain and update timelines for proposal preparation, and communicate
these clearly to ensure deadlines are met.
o Perform other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
o A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Business,
Statistics or Economics.
o CAPM or equivalent
o 7 years’ experience in an equivalent position.
o Proficiency in `MICROSOFT EXCEL’ and ‘WORD.
o Skills in communication, and critical thinking.
o Experience in conducting and managing research projects.
o Experience in producing and delivering evidence-based research findings.
o Experience in analyzing data.
