JOB TITLE: Service Delivery Technician
DEPARTMENT: Service Delivery/ FTTX
REPORTS TO (TITLE): Service Delivery Supervisor
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
A Service Delivery Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of ICT services to clients, while meeting industry and client quality standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Install and service/maintain ICT products to a standard defined by the industry and the client.
Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as defined by the Client and the Department.
Deliver a first-class customer experience according to high Net promoter score (NPS- customer loyalty and satisfaction measurement) standards
Positively promote the client’s brand through consistently efficient on-site performance
Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure that on-site health and safety requirements or quality issues are communicated and addressed in a timely manner
Work in accordance with health and safety principles and standards established by the nation, organization, industry, and client
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR JOB:
Minimum Requirement: High-school Diploma with five CXC passes in Mathematics, English Language, Information Technology, Technical Drawing OR Electricity, plus any other subject OR, a minimum of 1-2 years’ relevant work experience
A tertiary-level Certificate in Basic Electrical Installation would be an asset.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
Previous experience delivering in-premises services to homes and/or businesses (CCTV, Electricals, Alarms, Data/Telephony etc.)
Proven practical experience in fault-resolution and use of diagnostic skills
Proven practical experience in the use of all critical tools and equipment
Proven ability to lead a small team
Possess good literacy, numeric and IT skills
Must be goal-oriented to deliver KPI’s set by the client
Must possess strong time management skills
Must be of outstanding character – honest and trustworthy
Must be able to work at heights
Must be able to understand and comply with company health and safety policies
Must be determined and committed to delivering work in accordance with high-quality standards
Must possess exceptional customer skills with a positive “can-do” attitude
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to balance work execution with effective task delegation.
Excellent personal grooming and physical presentation
Valid Driver’s License with “Light goods/ Class C” endorsement
Flexibility to work shifts required by business
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
WORKING CONDITIONS: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.)
Predominantly 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday, may be required to work on weekends/holidays and outside normal working hours.
Work may be physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, stooping, climbing, stretching, pulling, and bending.
Requires ability to carry at least 50 lbs.
