Butler Manager
Role Summary
Accountable for the overall supervision of Butlers as well as the enhancement of Butler Service by incorporating new standards
introduced by SRI and Guild of Professional Butlers.
Duties & Responsibilities of the position
Implements and ensures SRI Butler standards/SOPs are adhered to
Investigates concerns received via online scores, letters and other sources, and provides solutions to prevent recurrences or lapses in
service delivery, while keeping the Group Butler Manager informed
Takes the necessary action for violations and inconsistencies in duties
Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with Butler team members
Identifies and analyses systemic problems with resort team to determine root cause and formulate sustainable solutions
Maintains an excellent working relationship with all team members, managers and supervisors
Ensures room inspections are routinely conducted and documented
Follows up to ensure that major/recurring defects are eliminated
Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously
Assists with any other tasks as directed by the General Manager/Group Manager
Reviews/audits guest information logs and actions where necessary
Ensures that Butler ‘after stay’ comments are accurately entered and compiled at the end of each month
Monitors and ensures cooperation and teamwork within the department and throughout the organization, especially Housekeeping,
Engineering & Maintenance and Food & Beverage
Ensures all monthly reports are submitted and reviewed and all concerns resolved
Qualifications and Experience
BSc. in Hotel or Business Management or equivalent
Certification from Guild of Professional English Butler
Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar or comparative position
Minimum of two (2) years’ working as a Butler
