Retail company seeking an Accounts Assistant
Qualifications and experience requirements:
Minimum 2nd level ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
Minimum three years accounting experience and knowledge of inventory control procedures in a retail environment
High competency in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
Accuracy and attention to detail
Accuracy with numbers
Must be able to work flexible days and hours
Well organized
Minimum age 25 years

Responsibilities include:
Accounting:
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
Daily enter key data of financial transactions
Review and monitoring of accounts receivables
Preparation and filing of VAT returns, NIC and PAYE
Preparation of payroll
Preparation and monitoring of cash flows
Preparation of monthly financial statements
Preparation of financial reports and information as required by management.
Monitor Inventory Control Procedures:
Co-ordinate perpetual counts of inventory, and investigate differences
Ensure proper inventory receiving and delivery procedures are adhered to
Perform inventory costing
