We are recruiting a customer oriented and highly motivated candidate who will join our clinical team as an Optical Dispenser to provide the highest standard of service and care to meet the needs of our patients.

The successful candidate will have key accountabilities as follows:

Explain prescriptions and recommends eyeglass frames and lens treatments based on their prescription, vision needs and style preferences to ensure that they make the best choice

Create work orders for the laboratory and follows up to ensure that jobs are sent within the agreed time frame

Conduct quality checks on all finished eyeglasses upon receipt from the laboratory to ensure accurate prescriptions, measurements, alignment and absence of scratches; and makes adjustments if necessary

Use optical machines to obtain accurate measurements of patients' eyes and ensure that the frames or lens are compatible with the prescription

Repair or re-fit broken eyeglass frames to guarantee sustained customer satisfaction

THE CANDIDATE – Minimum Requirement

Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Administration/ Management Studies or any other related field.

Prior experience working in an optical setting would be an asset.

Experience in a retail sales environment

Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, and written communication.

Computer Literate.

Mathematical ability, attention to detail (e.g. organization, prioritization, proofing), concentration and alertness.
