Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort is seeking a high energy Senior Sales Manager to target, solicit and cultivate business within the US and Luxury segments for our 4.5* luxury resort. The Senior Sales Manager researches, develops and solicits new consortia, wholesale, tour operator and travel agent accounts while maintaining relationships with current accounts in order to maximize revenue, profits and market share. This individual will travel unencumbered outside of the office to meet with customers and prospective customers to develop business, make proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals. The sales manager consistently meets with and entertains customers, participate in tradeshows and industry and community events to promote the resort.




We need a self-motivated professional who is extremely dedicated to his/her job and is willing to “go the extra mile” and able to “think outside of the box”. We are seeking a candidate with a solid network of luxury consortia accounts with 5+ years’ experience in hotel sales. We are looking for a hospitality professional who has a passion for luxury hotels. The Senior Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who is a proven leader in the hotel sales process and function. A top producer within the hotel, who has demonstrated strategic performance, commitment and expertise in both leisure and luxury sales.

Responsibilities:
Overseeing the US and Luxury Sales markets for the reimagined Windjammer Landing St. Lucia; sharing the exciting $12 million dollar renovation with our partners, clients and advisors.
Creating and implementing strategic plans for the US and Luxury markets, in order to meet/or exceed revenue goals (including ADR growth).
Solicit new and develop existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
Generate leads for the reservation department on property / forward any leads to the reservation department on property.
Participate in scheduled sales meetings, training and other sales strategy related meetings as required.
Develop & maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
Responsible for coordinating site inspection (conducting site when on property), orchestrating and hosting property and area discovery trips and activities.
Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
Proactively manage, qualify, and solicit all existing and new accounts in assigned territory.
Manage the preparation of proposals and contracts.




Maintain and further develop Sales database in segments.
Contribute to the annual marketing plans and budget process. Review goals and action plan on a scheduled basis.
Maintain expenses within the budgeted guidelines.
Maintain a respectful working relationship with on and off property colleagues and facilitate flow of communication.
Coordinate and monitor scheduled marketing efforts.
Conduct sales calls on key accounts. Organize sales trips in assigned territory, coordinate with the SLTA (tourist board) and Windjammer sales team. Solicit, organize, and participate in discovery trips from key client base.
Prepare and submit timely monthly reports to Director of Sales and Marketing. Recognize and include communication of market trends and competitive intelligence.
Planning for and owning consortia RFP season for all accounts.
Building relationships and staying aligned with the Windjammer sales team in all markets.
Manage the relationship and strategic marketing efforts for all luxury consortia partners (American Express FH&R, Virtuoso, Signature, etc.).
Completion of quarterly and annual account reviews and market action plans.
Actively research B2B opportunities in driving revenue, brand awareness and account management.
Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections.
Manage and maintain partner websites with copy, content and imagery as updated to reflect the Windjammer Landing guest experience.
Meeting and getting to know our guests to understand and provide meaningful interactions and a luxury, personalized guest experience on a consistent basis.
Able to work independently and makes decisions based on established policies and procedures while sticking to budget.
Preparing for, participating in and leading team meetings as needed.




Managing and developing a sales coordinator in their role; helping them to reach their career goals.
Be familiar with Windjammer Landing’s sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR).
Attend all respective training sessions, courses and seminars and other resort assigned learning activities.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Experience and Skills Required:
5+ years of hotel sales or similar experience is preferred.
Prior luxury, independent hotel experience preferred.
Strong level of selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills are required.
Knowledge of Opera, and Synxsis is an asset.
Written proficiency in English.
Exceptional oral communication skills to ensure the ability to negotiate and persuade business partners, clients, guests, and team members to achieve results beneficial to the operation of the Resort.
Well-developed presentation skills supported by clear delivery and detailed knowledge of topic.
Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines.
Ability to adapt to new changes and be flexible in accommodating special requests.
Ability to execute and delegate multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
College/University education is required.




Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint in particular).
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Self-motivated and an excellent team player.
Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.
