CONVENTION & SERVICES MANAGER
CORE FUNCTIONS
Accountable for coordinating the execution of all resort Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions as well as local catering group events as contracted by Unique Vacations and its worldwide affiliates and those locally solicited.
A. Specific Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Have an ability to demonstrate sound work ethics;
  • Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks;
  • Dependability - Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations;
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others;
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in events planning and execution;
  • Effective Customer Service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Knowledgeable of sales reports and must have the ability to analyze data.
  • Principles and methods for sales and promotion including sales tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques
  • Analyze market trends
B. Qualifications and Experience
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in Event Planning
  • Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, restaurant management or hotel management a key advantage
