ABOUT PETER AND COMPANY DISTRIBUTION
Peter and Company Distribution Limited (PCD) is a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Caribbean Distribution Partners Ltd a 50/50 joint venture between Agostini Limited and Goddard’s Enterprises Ltd (GEL). Peter & Company Distribution is St Lucia’s premier distributor of top quality regional and international brands. The company has three core business units: The Food, Household, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Division and the Wines, Spirits, Tobacco and Brewery Division. The company also owns retail stores including Wet and Cold Express, PCD Food Mart and House of Wines and Spirits.
JOB TITLE: Trade Marketing Representative

SUMMARY OBJECTIVES
  • To support the achievement of the performance goals and objectives of the customer’s outlet by driving and executing sales with consumers and customers.
  • To execute operational plans in order to deliver trade marketing, distribution, and brand objectives within trade channels.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluates assigned route constantly to ensure all business and sales opportunities are being maximized.
  • Works closely with distributor sales force to maximize distribution opportunities and minimize out of stock.
  • Ensures product distribution objectives on product quality and availability are being met.
  • Implements brand and trade programs which meet the objectives of the national trade promotional plan in the areas of the outlet segmentation, brand volume, merchandising and sales.
  • Monitors market and customer trends and reports on activities.
  • Assists in merchandising activities to ensure all products are maintained and complies with agreed planograms.
  • Demonstrates and provides information on promoted products.
  • Distributes product samples, brochures, flyers etc. to source new sales opportunities.
  • Set up booths, tents or promotional stands and stocks products for display or sale.
  • Functions in the capacity of Sales Representative when required.
  • Regular reporting of all activities against targets, and market activity.
  • Assist with the Company’s stock taking process.
  • Performs and maintains professional relationships with stake holders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • An Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Business Management
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in Brand Promotion, Trade Marketing, Merchandising or Sales
  • Fit physical condition
  • Must own and maintain a personal vehicle.
  • Knowledge of the island’s geographical areas is an asset.
  • Experience in ‘on the road’ sales will be considered an asset
