Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ability to work as part of our dynamic team
• Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all guest rooms, public areas including restaurant and offices
• Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction
• Daily supervision of housekeeping staff and their assigned work areas
• Purchase re order and maintain housekeeping supplies
• Uphold the highest level of cleanliness, safety and conduct
• Determine and maintain the department work schedules
• Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment
• Conduct pre event inspections of all guest rooms and public areas when necessary

Desired Skills

• Possession of good communication skills excellent written and verbal communication
• Must be computer literate and proficient in using excel, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and outlook
• The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask
• Working knowledge of room management systems, prior knowledge of the Opera System would be an asset
• Proven excellence in customer service
• Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, and associates, employees both inside and outside the organization
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays
