Job Summary

• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in watersports activities (kayaks, sail boats, paddle boats, tube and banana boat rides, snorkeling and waterskiing)
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Provide information to guests about available Watersports activities.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the Watersports Department intended for the safety and welfare of guests.
• Observe activity on the water and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency.
• Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
• Clean and maintain Watersports equipment and supplies.

• Outgoing demeanor
• Enjoy dealing with guests
• Good verbal communication
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; move, lift, or carry objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, and/or rain.
• Be self-directed and able to work unsupervised
• Applicant must be in a fit state of health and will be required to work weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• General Passes in at least four (4) CXC O’Level subjects including English
• Previous guest service experience preferred
• Certified swimmer
• Boat Driver License Required
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
