Patty Shack St. Lucia is seeking a skilled and motivated individual for a role on the growing roti team as a line cook.
Line Cook Job Responsibilities:
Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies for his/her workstation.
Prepares food items according to assigned task. This may include but is not limited to chopping vegetables, peeling potatoes, and preparing raw meat for stewing.
Cooks food items to specified recipes and standards.
Assists in preparation of Roti skins.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:
Basic Knife Skills
Basic Vegetable Peeling Skills
Familiarity with the use of appropriate kitchen equipment
Ability to lift, up 40 pounds for short periods of time
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
Ability to work as a team member
Follows directions and instructions
Education and Experience Requirements:
One to two years of experience as a high-volume line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook. Hotel experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
Familiar with industry safety standards and best practices
