A reputable Caribbean-based Auditing firm is seeking to hire a full-time Audit Manager.
The primary responsibility of the Audit Manager will be to handle and supervise all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients and to provide assistance to the partnership in both client work and in the management of the audit professionals group. On occasion the Audit Manager may become involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis as needed by the firm.
List of Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the Senior Partners.
  • Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels, being a principal point of contact throughout the year.
  • Develop a strong commercial understanding of the clients’ businesses.
  • Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timelines and identify opportunities for additional billings.
  • Ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required for job completion.
  • Ensure that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are always adhered to.
  • Identify and recognize business and sales opportunities with new and existing clients and inform the partner and client as appropriate.
  • Supervise, conduct, and report on the testing and adequacy of the clients’ internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Support partners with the implementation and communication of any new business strategy for existing clients, target clients and the internal business.
  • Recruit, retain, develop and motivate employees, which includes participating in recruitment, ensuring job appraisal are completed within deadlines and ensuring appropriate objectives and development plans are in place for employees.
  • Conducting investigations on irregularities and errors.
  • Any other tasks reasonably assigned to the Manager within their skill set.



Professional Qualification Requirements:
Must have completed ACCA, CPA, CA, or other internationally recognized accounting qualification. Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Professional Experience Requirements:
  • 8+ years of auditing experience which includes at-least 3+ years in management capacity
  • Excellent Communications Skills (both written and oral English)
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and ISA
  • Excellent project and team management skills
  • Experience with systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders and presenting to clients in a professional manner
