Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Assistant Stores Supervisor, Water & Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO).
Position Summary
The Assistant Stores Supervisor will be responsible for keeping inventory operations smooth and efficient, while monitoring staff productivity, and assisting in managing adequate inventory levels in the store room
Reporting to the Senior Stores Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required to:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily workflow of the store room
To ensure that all incoming stock is received, unloaded, stored and verified according to company policy
Verify that the correct inventory is dispatched to customers/departments using the appropriate system of transfers and documentation
Ensure that all incoming stock and unused goods are stored in an orderly manner
Conduct regular inventory checks to include both random and thorough checks.
To effectively delegate duties to staff to ensure that jobs and project deadlines are met safely and accurately
To assist in the preparation of monthly stock reports
To inspect shipments of new stock to ensure orders have been filled correctly and are in good condition
To assist in the delivery of material/stock as per stores requisition
Maintaining acceptable stock levels(issues vs, requests)
Record the issuing of materials and receipt of materials in ledgers
Maintain communication with internal customers i.e. Connections Clerks, Meterization Officers, Operations Personnel and Billing Officers
Any other related duties assigned by your Supervisor
Job Requirements:
Educational/Skills & Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Certificate in Inventory would be an asset
A minimum of three (3) years related Inventory experience
Previous supervisory experience
Knowledge of basic stores operations, as well as experience working with inventory systems
Desirable Specialized Technique/Knowledge:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills

Thorough understanding of Stores procedures and policies
Knowledge of various pipes and pipe fittings
Excellent organizational skills required to effectively manage the flow of stock
Excellent attention to detail
Computer literacy, particularly use of Microsoft Office and Inventory software packages
Ability to maintain accurate records
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Excellent reporting and team-building skills
Excellent team building skills
Strong analytical skills
Proactive and ability to take initiative
