Job Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable steward to join our team. As a steward, you will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas including the production area, canteen, restrooms, and offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the premises including production areas, restrooms, canteen, and offices.
Follow the established cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Use cleaning agents and equipment according to the safety guidelines and regulations.
Dispose of waste and other materials in a safe and hygienic manner.
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, sweepers, and scrubbers.
Report any equipment faults, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to the relevant department.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
Ability to work with cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, sweepers, and scrubbers.
Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
Good communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work in a food manufacturing environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals and noise.
Work in a team environment.
Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
