ASSISTANT BAR MANAGER

The Assistant Bar Manager will be responsible for assisting the Beverage Manager in the running of the entire Beverage operation to ensure that all Bars and Catering facilities operate smoothly at all times, within the standard operating procedure.

Simultaneously, maintaining F&B budget costs and continually monitoring and improving the level of service offered to our guests. Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position include:  Represent the hotel, company and department in the required respected and orderly fashion.




At all times set example by word, deed and attitude of the standards expected of the staff at Sandals Resorts and work with colleagues toward the improvement of the services offered.

 Monitor the dispensing of liquor at each bar by bartenders on a daily basis to ensure procedures are observed. Ensure bottle stamp and bottle-for-bottle system is used daily and consistently. Ensure no free pouring is taking place and pourers are used in all bars.

 Assist in directing the function of administration and planning of the Beverage Department to meet the daily needs of the operation, including the Banquet facility and its’ functions.

 Ensure cleanliness of bar and surrounding public area according to established standards, including floors, walls, cabinets, equipment, fixtures and furniture, inside and out. Ensure bars are kept clean, tidy and presentable during service hours.

 Be willing to work different shifts to accommodate the business or its demands.




 Assist in planning and administering training and development programs within the Department. Qualifications and Experience:

 Five years’ experience in managing a luxury hotel beverage operations and the ability to maintain the highest quality.

 Extensive Beverage & Wine knowledge

 Some formal training or equivalent apprenticeship training. If successful, a clean police record will be required.
