OAS – INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IN NEW YORK 2018 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Description:

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) and the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) through the OAS Partnerships Programme for Education and Training (PAEC), are offering scholarships to qualified candidates of the Americas to participate in its undergraduate and graduate programmes.

The modality of the programmes is onsite at the New York Institute of Technology, United States and the language of instruction is English.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this scholarship opportunity, an applicant must:

be a citizen and/or permanent legal resident of Saint Lucia;

submit a complete online scholarship application to OAS with all the required supporting documents;

provide OAS with an admission letter from NYIT. (This scholarship opportunity is open to new applicants as well as current students from OAS member states who are not an OAS-NYIT scholarship recipient.)

not be an OAS staff or individual who maintains employment contracts with the OAS or a staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS or immediate relatives of a staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS; and

not be a current OAS scholarship holder.

BENEFITS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

Undergraduate programme

The University shall provide the following:

First-year degree programmes: tuition discount of $5,000 - $22,000 / year. Minimum High School GPA of 3.0 and SAT score of 980 required.

Transfer programmes: tuition discount of $5,000 - $13,000 /year. Minimum Transfer GPA of 2.5 required.

  • Scholarship Recipients will be automatically awarded an NYIT scholarship, based on academic merit at the time of admission.

Graduate programme

The University shall provide tuition discount of $1,500 - $3,000 / year (fall and spring semesters only). Minimum Undergraduate GPA of 3.3 required.

Scholarship Recipients will be automatically awarded an NYIT scholarship, based on academic merit at the time of admission.
