SUCH COOPERATION WILL IMPROVE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES TO FACE THE CHALLENGES OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND FOOD SECURITY.
Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Agriculture signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cuba’s Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI), on Oct. 5. Cuba was represented by Ambassador Jorge Soberon.
During the signing ceremony of the agreement, Minister for Agriculture, Ezechiel Joseph, expressed satisfaction with the results of his visit to Cuba earlier this year, to evaluate exchange opportunities.
This agricultural cooperation between Cuba and Saint Lucia will improve technical competencies to face the challenges of climate change, promote food security, and boost the economic development of the sector.
