JOB TITLE: Draftsman/Draftswoman
REPORTS TO: Construction Manager

VINCI Construction Grands Projets aim to develop engineering and construction services for large infrastructure projects in various parts in the World and provide a highly skilled and competitive professional service in construction field.




VINCI Construction Grands Projets has been awarded with a 26M USD design-build contract for the Vieux Fort Water Supply Redevelopment Project, this project aim to increase the level of water supply in the Vieux Fort Area, by construction of:
-New river intakes,
-New Water Treatment Plant,
-New pumping stations
-Laying of additional piping network
-Additional storage Tanks up to 1200m3
Position Purpose: This role involves the issuance of Designs and methods drawings as per the set standards and QHSE Policies to be used in Project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares Designs, means and methods drawings on the construction methods, sequence of works, temporary works, formwork definition as well as lifting operations and logistic issues, including scaffolding and accesses
Prepares the Mechanical and Piping Designs, and liaise with the surveyor for correct implantation of the equipment in the building and on slabs.
Ensure that all the Requirements from Partners and any parties are met and that no objections can be provided to the permanent construction
Ensure that the drawings are developed using the workflows set in designs and documentation procedure
Ensure that those drawings are compliant with the required standards by using designated softwares (AutoCAD, 2D, 3D and Autodesk Civil 3D)
Work closely with other departments, engineers, supplier
Integrate quality and safety measurements and prevent any risks in the execution methods and sequence drawings
Report about the progress of the design development
Circulate the drawings to the design or construction team for their further review and upon review, integrate the received comments through issuance of reviewed drawings
Perform other related duties as assigned




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Required:
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2 years experience as Draftsman in the construction industry and in infrastructure works, preferably on large infrastructure projects
AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D software experience is required
Expertise on Formwork, Work Sequences and Construction Methods, and Mechanical/piping designs drawings
Strongly Encouraged:
• Previous experience in Multicultural environment is a plus
