Job Vacancy: Pastry Chef
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team in Soufrière! We are an intimate, friendly and hardworking team who have been running this 28-room resort for 5 years. The ideal candidate will possess strong baking and pastry skills, alongside a passion for quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods to a high standard.
Develop and refine dessert menus in line with the resort’s culinary vision.
Ensure consistency, quality control, and proper portioning of all pastry items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and storage areas.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert plating, and ingredient handling.
Creative flair with attention to detail and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and team spirit.
