JOB TITLE: Plumber
DEPARTMENT: Customer Services
REPORTS TO: Customer Services Manager
To disconnect and reconnect customers in a timely manner.
Advise Supervisor on materials needed for Reconnections & Disconnections;
Disconnection and Reconnection of meters;
Collect needed materials from stores;
Attend to all damaged lines on routes. Major damages(s) to be referred to Distribution;
Identify, rectify, and report all illegal withdrawal of water;
Excavation of service line/meters;
Ensure all health and safety procedures and guidelines are adhered to;
Installation of new connections;
Relocation of existing connections;
Advise Supervisor on material needed for jobs on work order;
Care for tools;
Any other work related duties assigned to you by your Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written, oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize with ease.
Ability to work as a team.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Five CXC O’Levels including Mathematics and English
• Plumbing Certificate
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
• Certificate in Building Technology;
• Industrial Plumbing.
• 2 years experience working in related field;
• General Maintenance.
