The Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort is currently seeking a passionate and dynamic professional who takes pride in their ability to deliver exceptional customer service and provide creative, guest-focused IT solutions in support of our world-renowned 4.5-star luxury Resort.
The IT Manager will be responsible for all technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance.
Key responsibilities of your role will include:
Developing and implementing strategic plans for the IT department aligned with the company’s vision and mission towards the achievement of the Resort’s goals
Act in the capacity of project lead for IT projects including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
Execute training for team members towards IT skills advancement and technical competency
Oversee and establish timelines and coordinate resources for the execution of IT projects
Analyze and monitor the performance of information technology systems
Evaluate technology risks and develop and execute appropriate action plans
Develop the annual IT capital expenditure and operational budgets and prepare cost projections and other financial metrics
Maintain currency on new and emerging technologies, innovation efforts and platforms which could be assimilated into the Resort’s operations
Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex issues
Expertise in Opera, Micros, Symphony and Microsoft 365 software
Commercially astute, results-driven and highly customer-focused
Expertise in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a multicultural, dynamic environment and should also possess the following competencies:
A minimum of ten years’ experience in managing IT infrastructure and services in a luxury 4- or 5-star hotel environment with increasing leadership responsibilities.
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is required
Competency in training and developing a team and promoting a team-oriented environment
Flexibility and the ability to adapt is vital
Ability to work various shifts and on weekends and holidays
