The Landings Resort and Spa - Head of Finance
The Landings Resort and Spa seeks suitably qualified candidates for the post of Head of Finance who will participate with resort management to provide and track strategies to achieve business objectives. This position is at a senior management level and the incumbent must be willing to contribute to all aspects of operations at The Landings Resort & Spa and will have thorough knowledge of relevant procedures involved in a condominium resort.
Manage the annual budget process and the monthly forecasting process. Direct and oversee all accounting, financial, budgeting and purchasing processes for The Landings. This is the ideal position for an experienced accounting professional to use ‘hands-on’ financial skills and professional vision to successfully organize and manage our unique financial needs.
This position is responsible for the property oversight, management and support hotel accounting and finance functions relating to this luxury resort. This includes supporting operational departments and ensuring that corporate accounting policies and procedures are adhered to, in addition to fulfilling budgeting, forecasting and reporting requirements. This position will work closely with third-party ownership groups on finance/accounting-related topics that arises from time-to-time, including but not limited to cash flow projections, monthly financial results and operating and capital budgets. Compliance with Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs) with respect to accounting/finance terms will also be the responsibility of this position.
Strong interpersonal, analytical and accounting skills are required in order to work effectively with property operations teams, corporate staff and third-party owners. Oversee and train accounting staff including hiring, supervision and periodic performance feedback. Professionally communicate to various parties, both verbally and via written communications. Professionally maintain all department files, reports and miscellaneous correspondence.
The ideal candidate will have 10 years of Accounting/Finance Controller experience within a luxury resort preferably as an upscale large property Controller at a condo-resort. Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience required and CPA and CHAE preferred. Previous experience in the Hospitality Industry is essential. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and Sage Accounting Products essential. Successful candidates will be highly organized and able to demonstrate success in all aspects of business accounting, and enjoy working in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment.
